An arctic cold front will move through the area this afternoon and evening, bringing snow showers and much colder air. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will result in reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible, which could lead to locally difficult travel conditions.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 1 AM Monday to 10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

James Jackson Sr.
James "Jim" F. Jackson Sr., age 76 of Celina, passed away at Lima Memorial Health System on July 11, 2021 at 1:45 pm.
He was born November 20, 1944 in Celina to the late Carl and Martha (Trissel) Jackson. On June 14, 1975 he married Yvonne R. (Green) Jackson and she survives at the residence.
Other survivors include two sons, Brian (Nikki) Jackson, Troy, Ohio and Craig (Jenna) Jackson, Celina; two sons and a daughter, all living in Tennessee; a brother, Tom (Alice) Jackson, Celina; a sister Diana (Bunk) Gray, Celina; a special sister-in-law, Aretha "Reese" Green, Wapakoneta; a brother-in-law, Wendell (Gayle) Green, New Whiteland, Indiana; many special niece and nephews; seven grandchildren, Shiann (Jeff) Myers, Zach, Hayden, Preston, Kaitlin, Jace and Grady Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Emmett Myers and Jenson Jackson; and his faithful pet dog, Jasper.
Jim is also preceded in death by a brother Johnny Jackson; and a sister, Sharon Jackson.
He retired from CW Jackson and Sons Well Drilling. He attended Light House Fellowship Church in Celina and was a member of Celina Church of the Nazarene and Celina Eagles Post #1291.
Jim was a highly active person who loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed wood working, traveling, and telling a good joke; April fools was his favorite day of the year. Jim loved to talk to anyone and everyone, never knowing a stranger.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina; a memorial service will follow the gathering at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
