* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Mercer and Shelby. * WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 356 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fort Loramie, New Bremen, Minster, Newport, New Knoxville, Russia, Osgood, Willowdell, Chickasaw, Kettlersville, Yorkshire, Lake Loramie State Park, Egypt, Maria Stein, Mccartyville and Houston.
CELINA - Cases of COVID-19 increased by 130 in Mercer County over the past week, raising the county's cumulative case count 4,836.
Although cases continue to climb in the county, a health official at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, said capacity conditions have improved since officials in a Sept. 18 news release reported the hospital was 25% over capacity. [More]

Celina graduate to be inducted into Waldorf Hall of Fame
Denny Jerome has received many honors over the years.
Friday night, the 1968 Celina High School graduate will earn another honor as he is inducted into the Waldorf University (Iowa) Athletics Hall of Fame. He will be the only inductee in this year's hall class.
