Brian Westgerdes
Brian Joseph Westgerdes, age 41 of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 15, 2021 with his adoring wife and loving family by his side at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne Indiana.
He was born in Coldwater, Ohio on April 9, 1980 to Earl and Carol (Hartings) Westgerdes, who survive in St. Henry, Ohio. On June 26, 2004 he married his high school sweetheart Terri Moeller who survives in Celina. Together they created a loving family and he is survived by his 3 amazing children Corinne (12), Rory (10), and Noah (8).
He is also survived by a sister Aimee (Joshua) Quinn (children Brayden and Bryleigh) and brother Matthew Westgerdes both of Coldwater. Mother and Father-in-law Mike and Eileen (Braun) Moeller of Coldwater and his sister-in-laws Tracy (Mike) Burgeson (children Kyle Youngpeter and Kaden) of Powell, OH, Stacy (Russ) Jones (children Anthony, Eric, Andrew and Tyler) of Coldwater and Angie (Aron) Castle (child Wynne) of Coldwater. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Ruth Ann Hartings of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Howard Hartings and paternal grandparents Wilbert and Marcella Westgerdes.
Brian was a 1999 graduate of Coldwater High School and attended Rhoades State College. He was a member of Celina I.C. Church. Brian was employed by Coldwater Lumber Company as a Computer Aided Draftsman finally settling into his dream job of helping customers create their dream homes. He was becoming a serious Celina Bulldogs fan as his children progressed through the ranks, coaching every one of them in soccer, baseball, and softball. He created many friendships out on the field becoming a respected coach. Brian was often seen showing people up out on the golf course in outings and golf cart driving skills. He loved to spend time with friends and family, recently becoming frequent campers to relax in the outdoors. But nothing could top his love of football, watching the Buckeyes play on Saturday and the Chicago Bears on Sunday, always believing they were going to pull out the big one.
Funeral services will be on October 20, 2021 at I.C. Catholic Church in Celina at 10:30am. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4pm to 8pm on October 19, 2021 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Dress is casual sports attire.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a fund for his children's education.
