St. Henry survives Marion Local; Fort rolls past Lancers

VAN WERT - St. Henry had to battle through five sets with Marion Local in Van Wert while Fort Recovery waltzed past Lincolnview, but the Redskins and Indians both won their Division IV volleyball district semifinals in Van Wert on Tuesday.
St. Henry came away with a 28-30, 25-14, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14 win over the Flyers in the first game before the Indians swept the Lancers 25-20, 25-19, 25-15. [More]

CELINA - City council members passed final reading of legislation that would effectively prohibit medical and recreational marijuana-related facilities from operating in most of downtown Celina.
CELINA - The first phase of improvements to the Mercer Wildlife Area, enabled by a roughly $1.7 million H2Ohio grant, will go out to bid this week.
WAPAKONETA - One new death and 26 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Auglaize County since last Friday, according to a news release from Auglaize County Health Department officials.
Mercer County's unemployment rate for September was 3.1%, a slight improvement from August's rate of 3.4%.
However, the county dropped from its status as second lowest for joblessness among Ohio's 88 counties to third lowest, according to an Ohio Department of Job and Family Services news release.
