Carol Roche
Carol A. Roche, age 71, of Celina, passed away at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio on November 19, 2021 at 11:38 am.
She was born January 7, 1950 in Coldwater to the late Clarence and Rosemary (Schroer) Post.
Survivors include two sons, David (April) Roche, Lascassas, Tennessee and Scott (Bradlee) Roche, San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Jerry (Susan) Post, Celina; two sisters, Sharon Post-Hong, Independence, Ohio and Kathy Sharkey, Celina; five grandchildren, Forrest, Caroline, Ella, Bayleigh and Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Dan Sharkey and Bob Hong.
Carol is a 1968 graduate of Coldwater High School. After graduation she relocated to Florida where she held various teaching roles specializing in children with learning disabilities. Upon returning to Ohio, she continued her work and retired from St. Peter Neurological Center in Burkettsville, Ohio as a cognitive speech therapist after 20 years of service.
Carol was a talented artist, and her specialty was watercolor painting. She attended classes at Wassenburg Art Center in Van Wert to hone her skills. She enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends and was always excited for a new adventure. She had a deep and unending love for her family and led by example through her stewardship, whether it be feeding the homeless with her then young sons, or her fellowship in the church. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Celina.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina.
Mass of Christ Burial and celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Andy O'Reilly C.PP.S. officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am - 10:15 am at the funeral home Monday morning. Interment will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
