* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Lavern Siefring
Lavern L. Siefring, age 84 of New Weston, passed away at home with family present, on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
He was born June 2, 1937, in Coldwater to the late Florence and Anna (Homan) Siefring. He married Jeanette (Evers) Siefring on July 11, 1959, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena and she survives in New Weston, Ohio.
Lavern (Pat) is survived by children Kevin & Emily Siefring of Greenville, Gary and Lisa Siefring of St. Henry, Craig and Brenda Siefring of New Bremen, Angela Siefring of New Weston, and Timothy Siefring of New Weston. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and in-laws Frances Siefring, Donald & Verena Evers, and Romie & Naomi Schaefer.
Lavern (Pat) is preceded in death by a brother Kenneth, a sister Shirley Schaefer, his father and mother-in-law Sebastian & Alvina Evers, and a brother-in-law Gerald Evers.
He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville and the United States National Guard. Lavern (Pat) was a lifelong farmer. Lavern enjoyed playing cards and followed school sports and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 15, at 10:30am at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
A private family viewing will be held prior to the mass at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Friends may visit with the Siefring family at the luncheon following the funeral mass.
