Elaine Reichert
Elaine A. Reichert, age 80 of St. Henry, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
She was born March 17, 1941, in St. Henry to the late Gregor & Genevieve (Dues) Schmitz. She married Kenneth Reichert on October 14, 1961, and he survives in St. Henry.
Elaine is also survived by six children, Kevin & Colleen (Smith) Reichert of St. Henry, Sharon & Rick Dues of St. Henry, Gary & Julia (Pax) Reichert of Van Wert, Tom Reichert, and Greg Reichert both of St. Henry, and Melissa & Ron Grieshop of Coldwater, 15 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and siblings and in-laws, Carol & Linus Hartings of Coldwater, Judy & James Albers of Wapakoneta, Nancy Kanney of St. Henry, Joyce & Dennis Borgert of Wapakoneta, Carl Baltes of St. Henry, Edna Reichert of Coldwater, and Joan & Phil Rengers of Chickasaw.
In addition to her parents, Elaine is also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Brenda (Wolters) Reichert, a sister Phyllis Baltes, and in-laws Mary Ann & Ivo Schwieterman, Lavern Reichert, and Ruth & John Stelzer.
Elaine was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, as well as the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Rosary Sodality at the church. She had worked at Celina Insurance Group, and Gels IGA, and later babysat for numerous families. Elaine loved to garden with her husband Ken, can their fresh produce, and cook. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at St. Henry Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 4, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
