* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Douglas Shellabarger
R. Douglas "Bucket" Shellabarger, age 65, of rural Spencerville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at his residence.
Born December 6, 1956, in Lima, he was the son of Vivian Shellabarger Hodge, who survives in Celina.
Doug leaves behind his 3 children: Codi (Daniel) Walk of Missouri, Tonya (James) Fox of Lima, and Gavin (Brittany Young) Shellabarger of Venedocia, 7 grandchildren: Honey, True and Rome Walk, James and Owen Fox, Alyza Jane Shellabarger, and Blaze Young, 3 brothers and a sister: Dale (Heidi) Moorman, Steve (Cindy) Hodge, and Sherri Hodge, all of Celina, and Gary Hodge of Rockford, and many nieces and nephews.
A 1975 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, Bucket had worked at Huffy's and Elgin Service Center. For many years, he was self-employed as a construction worker. He very recently retired from his business, Bucket Construction.
Bucket was an avid outdoorsman. He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, and cutting wood. He enjoyed building projects, and could fix anything. Bucket loved playing with his grandkids, and "helping" them get into trouble.
Calling Hours are from 12 Noon to 2:00 and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon. The family will gather at Mendon Cemetery on Tuesday, February 8th, for Doug's committal.
