William Hamp
William L. Hamp age 68 of Minster, Ohio died unexpectedly on Sunday February 6, 2022 in Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA.
He was born on December 1, 1954 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Melvin & Velma (Bohannon) Hamp. He married Susanna (Fiely) Siegel on March 31, 2018 in Bradenton, Florida.
She survives in Minster. He is also survived by children: Emily & Christopher Castiglioni their children Olivia & Fiona, Joshua Hamp-Hagerty, his son Nicholas, all of Bradenton, FL, Tammy & Mike DeVall, Coldwater, Ohio, their children, Sara, Heather, Garrett DeVall and 6 great grandchildren, his ex-wife Janet Schrolucke Hamp Hagerty, brother-in-law Gregg Wibbeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lynnell Wibbeler.
Bill was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in engineering. He worked as a police officer in Wapakoneta, then at Goodyear in St. Marys and then ended up working for his uncle building mobile homes in Indiana. He then moved to Florida and worked for 26 years as manager for 26 car dealership branches. He moved back to Ohio to take care of his parents and show dogs all over the area. He was working part-time delivering Corvettes for Bud's Chevy in St. Marys. He was a member of the Celina Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Celina Moose Lodge. He loved traveling, picking up and delivering over 700 cars, going to the drag strip and car shows, riding his motorcycle, helping with WOW in Ft. Recovery. He also loved going to the beach and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Hogenkmp Funeral Home, Minster.
