Sharon Jones-Grieshop
Sharon Rose Jones-Grieshop, 68, of Wapakoneta, died peacefully surrounded by her family 3:03 p.m., Fri. Feb. 18, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born June 17, 1953, in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of the late Elmer O. & Rose J. (King) Blackburn. On May 10, 2002, she married Andrew J. Grieshop, and he survives.
Other survivors include, 2 children, Michael (fiancée-Jennifer Byrd) Jones, Lima, Carissa J. Jones, Wapakoneta, 5 grandchildren, siblings, Sandy (Roger) Woods, Lima, Pam Reynolds, Lima, Dave (Jackie) Billiter, Wapakoneta, mother-in-law, Alice Grieshop, Maria Stein, OH, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Maurice Grieshop, Bernard Grieshop, Harold Grieshop, Marilyn Turner, Theresa Locktefeld, Daniel Greishop, Phyllis Grieshop, Beth Butler.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Blackburn, Jack Blackburn, Wade Blackburn, Bruce Blackburn, Karen Blackburn, and Patricia Widmark.
Sharon worked at Walmart and Koneta Rubber, both of Wapakoneta. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #370, and the American Legion Post #96, both of Lima. She enjoyed reading, and caring for her dog Cooper, and her cat, Buddy.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thurs. Feb. 25, 2022, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Steve Nelson officiating. Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Wed. Feb. 23, at the funeral home.
