* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John Evans
John Michael Evans, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 28, 2022.
He was born November 15, 1978, in St. Marys.
John owned J&R Contracting LLC, and had been in the construction industry for more than 25 years. He was an animal lover and aspired to train dogs for veterans and others who suffered from PTSD. John loved all animals and all people.
John is survived by two sons, Anthony Michael Evans (Briana), 25, of Jackson Center, and Logan Carter Michael Evans, 19, of Celina; his mother, Lou Ann Hough, of Banner, KY; five sisters: Julie M. Bowers of Pittsburgh, PA, Teresa L. Cherin (Luciano) of Sebastian, FL, Mary E. Jacobs (Del) of Celina, Loma L. Moser (Danny) of Ocala, FL, and Barbara A. Pfeiffer of Celina; three brothers: James W. Evans of Celina, Carl J. Evans of Melbourne, FL and TSgt Jason A. Evans (Heather) of Dover, DE; twenty nieces & nephews, and his beloved service dog, Bear.
John was preceded in death by his father, Warner Evans, step-father, Thomas R. Hough, a nephew, Quinn T. Stinson, and his maternal and paternal grandparents: Herbert & Julia Reed, and Carl & Iva Evans.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 8th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina. Pastor Kevin Call will officiate.
Burial will follow at Neptune Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, March 7th, and an hour prior to services on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In John's memory, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
