  After waiting behind a talented senior class in 2020-21, Koesters got his chance in the Redskins' starting lineup and made the most of it. His hustle and athleticism made an impact on every aspect of the game, from sharpshooting from the perimeter to battling for rebounds in the paint.

  Koesters announced his arrival in the Asset Allocation Associates Holiday Classic, scoring 41 points over the two games to earn tournament MVP and propelling St. Henry to two victories. The Redskins, who had been scuffling to start the season, took off on a seven-game winning streak before coming back to earth.

  In the tournament, Koesters averaged 11.3 points per game as St. Henry reached the district semifinals. In the Redskins' upset win over Midwest Athletic Conference co-champion New Bremen in the sectional final, Koesters hit a big three to erase the Cardinals' last lead and added a layup to make it a four-point St. Henry advantage with less than three minutes remaining as the Redskins hung on for the win.
