Margaret Hawk
Margaret "Peggy" M. Hawk, age 77, passed away March 30, 2022, at 12:59 am, at her residence.
Peggy was born on December 12, 1944 in Escanaba, Michigan, to Stanley and Josephine (Catelino) Fauhl, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 21, 1969 she married James "Jim" Hawk who preceded her in death on November 30, 2005.
She was a dedicated homemaker and worked hard on the family dairy farm for over 40 years. She loved her cows and took great pride in milking and caring for them daily. She attended Waynesfield Baptist church where she enjoyed sharing in her love of Christ. She had a passion for religious poetry, and was a Sunday school teacher at another church earlier in life. She was artistic, loved to draw, and was a fan of the Hallmark Channel. She had a fabulous sense of humor and always knew how to make others smile. She loved her family above all else, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Peggy was an exceptional woman, and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Survivors include: children, Daniel Hawk and Joseph "Joe" (Nikki) Hawk; siblings, Janet (Richard) McDermitt, Delores "Dee" (Bill) Vandemark, and Nancy Flavin; siblings-in-law, Kolene (Charles) Bourne, LeRoy Spence, and Arlene (Michael) Bruno; grandchildren, Isaac Hawk, Olivia Hawk, and Elijah Hawk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Preceded in death by: parents, Stanley Fauhl and Josephine Fauhl; spouse, James "Jim" Hawk; as well as siblings-in-law, Ronald Flavin and Marlene Spence.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes Shawnee Chapel.
A public visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on the night prior, Sunday, April 3, 2022 also at the Shawnee Chapel. Burial will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne Township Fire and Rescue Squad.
