* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 11 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Cold wind chill will occur late tonight into Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

Eugene Powell

Eugene R. Powell, age 73, of Celina, died on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at his home in Celina surrounded by loved ones.

He was born December 31, 1948 in Coldwater to the late Glenn & Marie (Froning) Powell.

He is survived by children Kelly & Drew Braun of Celina, Jenny Hoyng & Bill of Mendon, Taylor Powell of Celina, and Olivia & Shawn Stachler of Coldwater. He is also survived by grandchildren, Airek, Airiyelle, Alecksa, Ashlihn, Maddicyn, Skylar, Braeden, Ezra, and one on the way; and 5 great grandchildren. Siblings and in-laws, Dennis (Jennifer) Powell of Pataskala, Larry Powell of Celina, Mike (Kathy) Powell of Celina, Lisa (Kevin) Kennedy of Coldwater, Brian Powell of Indiana, Lora (Roger) Wellman of Coldwater, Sandi (Dan) Feltz of Coldwater, Bill Puthoff of Chickasaw, and Wanda Powell of Celina, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Puthoff, John Powell and brother-in-law, Jeff (Turk) Kremer.

Eugene was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of the Celina VFW and spent many years as a transport driver for Mercer County Veterans. Eugene was a talented musician who also enjoyed fishing, his motorcycle, and Coldwater Cavalier Football.

Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Following the service, a reception and military honors will be held at the Celina V.F.W.

Friends may call on Thursday, May, 5, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice.
