Nathan John Sturwold, age 34 of Miamisburg and formerly of Troy, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1987.
Nathan was preceded in death by his Godmother and maternal grandmother, Rose Gehret; as well as maternal grandfather Al Gehret.
Those left to cherish Nathan's memory include his father, Charles Sturwold (stepmother Patricia Rose) of Troy; mother, Barbara Sollmann (stepfather Dean Sollmann) of Miamisburg; his brothers and best friends Zachary Sturwold of Vandalia and Adam Sturwold of Kettering; paternal grandparents John and Marlene Sturwold of Minster; stepsiblings, Tiffany Robertson (Evan), Andy Sollmann (Loni), Rachel Madgwick (James), Brian Sollmann (Amanda), TJ McDonald, and Alison Brown (Eric); as well as numerous good friends.
Nathan was a 2006 graduate of Troy High School, where he was a gifted state wrestler. He went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from BGSU. Nathan had a strong work ethic and performed several hurricane rescue missions with his current employment at Total Tree Care, Inc. Also, as a lifeguard, he saved several lives and had his SCUBA certification.
Nathan's brothers Zach and Adam were his best friends and shared his love for the outdoors. He was an adventurer, making long treks canoeing, hiking, and fishing all across the country. Nathan was a kind and gentle soul, always willing to give a gentle hand or smile to others.
When our eyes look up at the stars in the night as Nathan did on so many of his adventures, we will remember the sparkle in his eyes and hear him saying "share peace and live your life to the fullest like I did."
