Marie Huelsman
Marie H. Huelsman, age 97, of St. Henry, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at her home in St. Henry.
She was born April 22nd, 1925, in Versailles, to Frank & Josephine (Meyer) Berning. On August 18th, 1945, she married Vincent Huelsman, and he preceded her in death.
Marie's memory continues to live on in her children and their families: Connie & Donald Muhlenkamp of Portland, IN, Dick Huelsman of St. Henry, Linda Gehle of North Muskegon, MI, Dennis & Sandy Huelsman and Mike & Lori Huelsman all of St. Henry, Nancy & Mike Homan of Maria Stein, Bec & Jim Braun of Troy, Kathy & Dan Giere of Coldwater, Peg Huelsman of Kettering, Diane & John Deiters of McCartyville, and Doug Huelsman & Marcella Thompson fiancé of Prosper, TX, as well as her 36 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren with two on the way, and five great great grandchildren and two on the way, and siblings and in-laws, Loretta Link, Bernard & Irene Berning, Annie Hemmelgarn, Veronica & Arthur Hermiller, Frances Siefring, Delores Seitz, and Pat Huelsman.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Huelsman, a daughter-in-law Barb Huelsman, a son-in-law Roger Gehle, siblings and in-laws, Helen & Tom Fullenkamp, Kate & Art Reynolds, Kenny Siefring, Morris Siefring, John & Agnes Huelsman, Julie & Keith Trone, Clarence & Mary Huelsman, Rosalind & Harold Gottes, Marcella Huelsman, David Huelsman, Cyril Seitz.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, and St. Henry D of I. Marie retired from the former Huffy's plant in Celina. She loved spending time with her large extended family and playing bingo. Marie enjoyed helping at the Senior Citizens Center in Celina.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday, August 22, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or the Mercer County Council on Aging.
