St. Marys man faces 23 years in prison

ST. MARYS - A St. Marys man arrested last week on charges of rape, burglary, abduction, gross sexual imposition and sexual battery faces a maximum sentence of more than 23 years in prison if convicted.
Timothy Kohlhorst, 56, was arrested Thursday and is being held in the Auglaize County jail on $100,000 cash bond subject to 10%, according to court records.
His specific charges are rape of a victim with a mental and/or physical disability, a first-degree felony; gross sexual imposition by force, a fourth-degree felony; sexual battery by coercion, a third-degree felony; abduction by restraining the liberty of another person, a third-degree felony; and burglary in an occupied structure with the purpose to commit a criminal offense, a second-degree felony.
Kohlhorst pleaded not guilty to all four charges during an arraignment hearing on Friday in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court, according to court documents.
The court ordered Kohlhorst undergo a psychological evaluation by the Forensic Psychiatry Center for Western Ohio, Dayton, at 11 a.m. Sept. 22 to determine his competency to stand trial.
A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.
