David "Dave" Howick, age 67, of Celina passed away at 4:58 am on August 28, 2022 at Divine Nursing and Rehab at Shane Hill in Rockford.

He was born on September 17, 1954 in Celina to the late Harold & Lavaun (Hellwarth) Howick. On November 6, 1999, Dave married Bev (Campbell) Howick and she survives in Celina.

He is also survived by stepchildren, William "Billy" Hearron of Florida and Brenda Hearron of North Carolina; brother, Dennis (Theresa) Howick of Celina; and one step-granddaughter.

Dave was a 1972 graduate of Celina High School. He was a mechanic for his entire life and worked at Howick Sales & Services in Celina. Dave also worked for a farm supply company from 1971 - 1988 in Celina and was proud to help and work on the family farm. He was a member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina; was a member and treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion and served for many years as the treasurer of the Western Ohio Garden Tractor Pullers. Dave enjoyed working at American Legion dinners, attending and participating in garden tractor pulling, and attending the Celina Lake Festival as well as volunteering and being a committee member for many years. Dave was most proud of the fact that he was a mechanic for countless years and truly enjoyed his career throughout his entire life.

Memorial services will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday afternoon. Private graveside services will be held at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.

Memorial contributions can be made in Dave's honor to the American Legion Post #210 in Celina.
