Nate Niekamp
Nate W. Niekamp, age 19 of St. Henry, died on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, to be with his Lord Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born on December 2, 2002, in Coldwater to Terry & Cheryl (Holdheide) Niekamp. Terry and Cheryl survive in St. Henry.
Nate is survived by three siblings: A.J. & Carli Niekamp, Kaylee Niekamp & Jaren Fishbaugh, and Jeremy Niekamp, all residing in St. Henry. Also surviving Nate are his grandparents, Mike & Barb Niekamp and Werner & Joann Holdheide, as well as aunts and uncles, Mike & Ann Holdheide, Lisa & Jim Loftis, Janel & Randy Barga, Nick & Cheryl Holdheide, Janet & Mark Jacobs, Todd Niekamp, Kevin & Stacy Niekamp, Steve & Jackie Niekamp, Laura & Josh Brown, Beth & Paul Droesch, Sarah & Nate Jenkins, numerous cousins, many friends, and his beloved dogs, Rambo and Rocky.
Nate was a graduate of the St. Henry High School, Class of 2021. While in high school he was active in football, golf, and basketball. Nate loved watching and participating in all kinds of sports, especially golf. Nate was a very competitive and dedicated person who always pushed himself to be his best. He enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, fishing and collecting shoes and sports jerseys. Nate loved spending time with his extended family and friends, cracking jokes with his witty humor, and was a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the St. Henry Redskins. We hope Nate inspired all with his determination to domiNATE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2022, at St. Henry Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 1:00 until 6:00p.m. Sunday, September 4, and 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 5, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. To honor Nate's love of sports, feel free to wear your favorite sports apparel.
