1 killed in St. Henry accident

A two-vehicle accident at State Route 119 and U.S 127 leaves a Coldwater man dead at the scene.
ST. HENRY - A 33-year-old Coldwater man was killed in a two-vehicle collision involving a semitrailer at the intersection of U.S. 127 and State Route 119 at 4:29 p.m. Sunday.
Bradley C. Wendel was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.
Roel Villarreal, 51, Edinburg, Texas, was reportedly driving a 2015 Kenworth semitrailer southbound on U.S. 127. Wendel was driving a 2007 Jeep Cherokee westbound on State Route 119.
Wendel failed to stop at the stop sign on State Route 119 at U.S. Route 127 and struck the trailer of the semitrailer, the release indicates.
Villarreal was reportedly uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation. Once completed, a report will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office for review.
Sheriff's deputies were assisted on the scene by the St. Henry Fire Department, Chickasaw Fire Department, Southern Mercer County Joint Ambulance District and Mercer County Emergency Response volunteers.
Swaths of both highways were temporarily closed after the accident on Sunday afternoon.
