Karen Wietholter
Karen M. Wietholter, 67 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Monday October 24, 2022 at 8:35 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.
Karen was born October 9, 1955 in Coldwater, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Malinda (Quinter) Schlarman.
Karen was a big-hearted person who worked hard her entire life. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church. As an avid sports fan, she really enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in many different sporting events. She was a great seamstress and a talented baker that really enjoyed creating beautiful dresses for young Haitian girls and delicious treats to send overseas to our troops. Most importantly she was a mother, a grandmother, and a kind friend. She will be remembered as a thoughtful and generous person who blessed the lives of those around her.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Gerald and Thomas Schlarman; and her brother in law, David Black.
Karen is survived by her children and spouses, Tracy and Bill Stachler of Osgood, Tonya Wietholter and Tom Hoening of Ansonia, Tammy Wietholter of Versailles, Benjamin and Karen Wietholter of Versailles, and Mitchell and Audra Wietholter of Versailles; her grandchildren, Lincoln, Levi, Lindy and Trayson Stachler, Oden, and Uzziah Hoening, Chase, Malia, and Hunter Wise, Allie, Mallory, and Benson Wietholter, Lauren, Xavier, and Jace Wietholter; her siblings and spouses, Bob and Pauline Schlarman of Wendelin, Marge Vehorn of St. Henry, and Marlene Black of North Star; sisters in law, Helen Schlarman of Fort Recovery and Barbara Jean Schlarman of St. Henry; and her special friend, Jeff Lennartz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday November 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Stephen Jones Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday November 3, 2022 and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Friday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be donated to various local charities.
