Diane Price
Diane M. (Wilker) Price, age 57, of Beavercreek, passed away on the 11th of December, 2022.
Diane was born on July 13th, 1965, to Charles and Mary Wilker of St. Marys, Ohio.
She graduated from Memorial High School, St. Marys, in 1983. She attended Miami Valley School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio, where she earned a degree in nursing. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she began her career working as an ICU nurse. She met her future husband, Joe, soon after that. They were married on April 28th, 1990, at Holy Rosary Church in St. Marys. In 1999 they moved to Beavercreek, Ohio, with their children and had attended St. Luke Parish in Beavercreek since. Diane was a devout Catholic who lived her faith through her work and interactions with others. She loved praying the Rosary with her family. She dedicated her life to helping others and loved caring for her patients, especially praying with them. Her compassion for the sick and genuine kindness to their families brought comfort to those she served. Diane always had a great love for the Lord Jesus and used her nursing skills to be God's hands on Earth. She was a shining example of compassion and kindness, and her selfless spirit will continue to inspire all who remember her.
Diane is survived by her parents, Charles and Mary Wilker, husband Joe; sons Brandon (Kristin), Nathan (Zion), and Michael; brothers Randy, Mike (Bev), Jeff, Doug (Shelly), and sister Linda (Mick). She also leaves behind her two grandsons, Thomas and Owen, who have brought so much joy to her and Joe.
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She loved baking Christmas treats and decorating the house. Her specialty was her famous Buckeyes. This past year she was able to direct her sons on how to make them so that the Christmas Buckeye tradition will stay alive and active in the Price family. Diane also enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. One of her favorites was zucchini, which she turned into everything from cookies to bread to the best chocolate cake ever! Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a woman of faith and courage and was never ashamed of her love for God, family, and country. We know that she will be watching over us all from heaven and praying for us always. We love you, Diane, and we will miss you!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, OH. Fr. Jason Bedel celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt Zion Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH on Tuesday, December 20.
