Marilyn Bruns
Marilyn Catherine (Kremer) Bruns, 85, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born on June 13, 1937, in Maria Stein, Ohio, to the late Alphonse and Pauline (Budde) Kremer.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dale J. "Whitey" Bruns, whom she married on July 18, 1959, and who passed away on November 20, 2020; one grandchild and one great grandchild; her brother, Ken Kremer; and her in-laws, Don and Mary Alice Bruns.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Connie (Joe) Muhlenkamp of Bryant, Indiana, Chuck (Helena) Bruns of Maumee, Ohio, Bill Bruns of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Mike (Lorraine) Bruns of Coldwater, Ohio, Lisa (Tom) Braun of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Joe (Denise) Bruns of Fort Recovery, Ohio, Becky (Brian) Kunkler of Portland, Indiana, Mark (Sara) Bruns of Fort Recovery, Ohio and Brenda (Doug) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, Ohio; her 40 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; her siblings, Ernie (Marlene) Kremer of New Bremen, Ohio, Irene (Virgil) Dues of Coldwater, Ohio, Carl (Betty) Kremer of Celina, Ohio, Janice (Ken) Lamm of Fort Recovery, Ohio, and Dory (Dave) Westgerdes of Gulfport, Mississippi; her sister-in-law, Lou Ann Kremer of Maria Stein, Ohio; and her in-laws, Mary (Bud) Granger, Marlene (Jerry) Schmitz and Carol (John) Ranly all of Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Marilyn was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the St. Peter's Christian Mothers. She spent a majority of her life being a full-time housewife, and bookkeeper for her husband Dale's auctioneering and real estate business, along with working on the farm with the animals. She was extremely proud of her family and was very devout to her faith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Marilyn's family on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
