CELINA - Mercer County Engineer Jim Wiechart is gearing up for a big year of road and bridge projects to be paid in part with millions of dollars in state and federal funds his office secured.
"It's our biggest budgeted year that I've ever seen here and I'm sure probably ever because we're up around $20 million and I've never seen it to that level for just our budget," Wiechart said. [More]

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - A Rockford man involved in a two-vehicle crash on Frahm Pike and State Route 118 on Jan. 16 has died.
Joseph Steiner, 31, died on Jan. 25 after spending 10 days in an intensive care unit, according to his obituary.
