Frederick Dorsten
Frederick J. (Fred) Dorsten, Jr. (79) of Columbus, Ohio passed away on January 11, 2023 at the James Cancer Hospital.
He was born in Lima, Ohio on September 19, 1943 to the late Frederick J. Dorsten, Sr. and Bernice L. Heckler. On July 29,1989 he married Lisa Kraft at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westerville and together they shared 33 years of marriage.
Frederick is survived by wife, Lisa Dorsten; children, Andria Dorsten Ebert (Daniel Ebert), Melissa Dorsten (Steve Mitchell), Sara Dorsten (Andrew Hall) and Aimee-Marie Dorsten; sister, Catherine Morrison; granddaughter, Amanda Wolfe; grandson, Jeremy Wolfe and 2 great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angelina Dorsten Graham.
Fred loved collecting and operating toy trains and on sunny days he loved taking his convertible to car shows and taking his family to get ice cream. He enjoyed bible study on Friday mornings and zoom meetings with Maine 3-Railers each week. He treasured his relationships with family and friends. His wife and daughters were the loves of his life. The family would like to extend special thanks to New Wine, St. Luke Lutheran, Cross Point Christian plus countless friends and extended family members for their prayers and support.
Memorial contributions can be made to Blue Beautiful Skies Fund for Lung Cancer Research.
