Jaclyn Monahan
Jaclyn Anne Monahan (Kerns) of Celina, Ohio passed away in the morning of February 5th, 2023.
Born Jaclyn Anne Kerns to John Joseph and Maryellen (McIntosh) Kerns in Detroit, Michigan on Sept 21, 1940.
Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Monahan of Buffalo, NY, father & mother, stepsons Raymond & Robert, brothers George Kerns and John Joseph Kerns.
Survived by son John Carter Monahan, daughter Mary Kay Popovski, sisters Connie (James) Fleck, Barbara (James) Dabbelt, brothers Chris (Carole), Tim (Sally), Michael (Kelli), Ted (Allison) and sister-in-law Teressa Kerns, stepdaughter Debora Monahan-Rosowicz as well as many grandchildren.
Jackie attended IC grade school in Celina, graduated high school at Salem Heights as valedictorian. Studied w/ Sisters of the Precious Blood in Dayton to become a nun. Attended the Universities of Dayton and St. Francis in Ft. Wayne. For work, was best known as a delivery person for Guardian Photo, driving senior citizens bus in Hamburg NY, later in Celina picking up cars for auto dealerships & delivering flowers; Will be remembered as the "cheery" Walmart greeter in Celina. No one was a stranger to Jackie and she brought a smile to anyone's face.
A celebration of Jaclyn's life will be held in the spring.
