City stops accepting credit card payments

CELINA - The city of Celina is feeling the fallout from the failure of a tech industry-centered bank on the West Coast.
City officials on Monday stopped accepting credit card payments for utility bills after learning its third party processor, Payment Service Network Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin, has halted reimbursements to the city, mayor Jeff Hazel said at the regular city council meeting. [More]

ST. MARYS - After months of back and forth over downtown parking, city council members on Monday effectively killed legislation that would have changed parking rules in the central business district.
MARIA STEIN - Marion Local school board members approved hiring Kelli Thobe as the new elementary school principal on Monday night.
Thobe, who is principal of Fort Recovery Elementary School, will replace Nick Wilker, whose retirement takes effect July 31. Wilker has been principal since 2013.

COLDWATER - Village council members on Monday heard first reading of a utility ordinance increasing the cost of water services in the village.
The ordinance fixes the rates and fees to be charged for water, wastewater, cistern water treatment and storm utility services.
