* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Patricia Griner
Patricia L. (Weaver) Hoying Griner, age 88, formerly of Minster, passed away peacefully of natural causes Friday morning, March 17, 2023, at Canterfield of Kennesaw in Kennesaw, Georgia.
She was born January 1, 1935, in Minster, Ohio, to the late Albert & Henrietta (Vondenhuevel) Weaver. On August 28, 1954, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, Patricia married John "Edward" Hoying who preceded her in death on August 25, 1996. On July 29, 2005, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Patricia married Rolland H. Griner who survives in Kennesaw, GA.
Surviving are nine children from the Hoying and Griner families: Steve & Catherine Hoying of Anna, Nancy Hoying & fiancé David Bryan of Minster, Glen & Violet Hoying of Roopville, GA, Rolland Griner Jr. & Brandon Brooks of Tampa, FL, Valerie & Rick Highers of Woodstock, GA, Cynthia Griner of Vacaville, CA, Rachel Griner of Vacaville, CA, Theresa & Billy Vance of Concord, NC and JoAnn & Donna Griner of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren from the Hoying family: Regina & Tim Lyons, Krista & Rick Withrow, Amy Hoying, Brittany & Ryan Axe, Craig & Alexis Hoying, Ardelia Hoying and Paul Hoying as well as nine grandchildren from the Griner family; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sisters & brothers-in-law: Joan Hoying of New Bremen, Veronica "Vee" Presas of Fort Loramie, Bonnie Hoying of Dayton, Margie Thieman of Kettering and Susan & Les Prenger of Minster along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by seven Siblings: Irene & Ray Knostman, Elmer & Mary Jane Weaver, Bob & Jeanette Weaver, Don Weaver, Rosemary & Joe Wesbecher, Eleanore & Jim Price and Barbara A. Griner as well as brothers & sisters-in-law: Clarence "CJ" & Betty Hoying, Roman & Rosemary Saalman, James & Catherine Abele, Alvin Hoying, Rev. Leo Hoying, Art Presas, Paul Perin and Cyril "Cy" Hoying.
She was a 1952 graduate of Minster High School and had been a dedicated homemaker. Many years ago, she also worked at Stricker's and the Wooden Shoe Brewery in Minster. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality and the Minster Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Pat enjoyed reading, cooking and entertaining guests. She also enjoyed Friday night bingo at the Minster, K of C Hall and meeting with friends at the Eagles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Aaron Hess presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the St. Michaels Church building fund, Alzheimer's Research or charities of choice.
