Given that Evan Bowers and Luke Beyke are close in most statistical categories this season for St. Henry, it's appropriate that the two are listed together on the Dream Team.
With just one senior on the roster this season, the two put the Redskins on their collective backs and helped push them through some rough stretches as St. Henry finished the season at 11-11, but picked up three big postseason wins to reach the Division IV district final and a third meeting with State Route 119 rival Marion Local. The Flyers won the first two meetings by four points each time. The third round was also a close contest with the Flyers picking up the 59-50 win as St. Henry finished with a winning record.
Bowers had five games with 20 or more points and had only four single-digit scoring performances this season to go along with seven double-double performances with scoring and rebounds.
Beyke scored 20 or more points in 10 games this season. To end the season, Beyke had five straight double-digit scoring games.
"The two of them, Beyke and Bowers together, they're a really tough matchup," Minster coach Michael McClurg said after Beyke and Bowers combined for 35 points and 15 rebounds in knocking the Wildcats out of the DIV tournament.
Both players will be back next season along with the bulk of this season's roster. The Redskins should be a contender for the MAC title with hopes of a long playoff run.
