* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Barbara Thees
Barbara R. Thees, 81, of Celina, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family on March 29, 2023 at Mercer Health in Coldwater.
She was born March 12, 1942 on a farm in rural Celina to the late Edward and Viola (Lawrence) Hone. On November 5, 1960 Barb united with Robert (Bob) L. Thees at Beaver Chapel in Celina and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2023.
Other survivors include her children, Christina (Rick) Pearson, Webster, New York and Tony (Jenny) Thees, St. Henry; grandchildren, Travis (Nina Paqari Montoya) Brown, Rochester, New York, Hannah (Keven) Stammen, Dayton, Kentucky, Hayley (Gunner Blanke) Thees, Springboro, Ohio and Zoe (Gabe Snyder) Thees, Nelsonville, Ohio; two great grandsons, Sonny and Chip Stammen; a step grandson, Christopher Pearson, New York; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob Zizelman and Janice Hone; and special cousins, Roger (Alice) Stohl, Frank (Linda) Puhlskamp and Rick (Linda) Kirkpatrick.
Barb was the last of 10 siblings, preceding her in death were, Doris E. (Orral) Snyder, Inez L. (Clyde) Goins, Ermal P. (Valier) Amstutz, Mary C. (Dwayne) Boroff, George L. (Dorothy) Hone, Carl D. Hone, Elaine Zizelman, Frank D. (Judy) Hone, John T. (Sandy) Hone; a brother-in-law, Sherman McCourt.
She was a 1960 graduate of Celina High School. She worked at Sears in Celina and at the Mercer County Fair Board as a secretary and most recently at Econo Manufacturing Company in Celina for many years. She was a member of Beaver Chapel Church in Celina. She volunteered at Choosing Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Celina. She was active in a Bible study group and still got together with her high school classmates once a month, calling their group the 60's ladies. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and they always enjoyed eating her homemade cheesy mashed potatoes. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching butterflies. Barb was a very happy and fun-loving person and had a sharp wit about her until the very end.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Pastor Tom Christen officiating; where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home Monday. Graveside services will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina. In honor of Barb the family would like for everyone to wear spring colors and/or floral patterns to help celebrate her life.
