Rosemarie Vantilburg
Rosemarie Vantilburg, age 80, of Celina, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born July 19, 1942, in Nierstein, Germany, to the late Jacob and Johanna (Wise) Schwinn. Rosemarie and Robert H. Vantilburg were married on April 11, 1959, and he preceded her in death April 2, 2012.
Surviving are their children: Harry and Margie Vantilburg, Robert Vantilburg, and Terry Vantilburg, all of Celina, as well as 6 grandchildren: Elicia and Carl Warner, Nicole Thompson, Elaina and Domonique Williams, Jacob and Leah Vantilburg, Jennifer and Drew Pryor, and Jessica and Todd Hoyng, 15 great grandchildren, her sister, Ursula Jones of South Carolina, and a sister-in-law, Ina Schwinn, of Nierstein.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Gutti Schwinn, Hans Willy Schwinn, and Irma Schwinn.
She was a homemaker, and had also been a factory worker at Goodyear in St. Marys, and retired from Huffy Bicycles in Celina. She was a member of Celina VFW Auxiliary Post #5713, and had attended the Hillsdale Church in St. Marys. Family was #1 for Rosemarie, and she was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing BINGO and spoiling her Jack Russell Terriers. Rosemarie especially loved treating the dogs to McDonald's cheeseburgers.     Private visitation and funeral services will be held, with Pastor Randy Christian, officiating. Burial will take place at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the Donor's Choice.
