Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Mary Jo Schlater
Mary Jo Schlater, age 65, of Lakengren and formerly of St. Henry, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at her residence.
She was born January 9, 1958, in Coldwater, to the late Urban C. & Luetta J. (Hartings) Mescher. On April 23, 1983, she married David Schlater. David survives at their home in Lakengren.
Mary Jo is survived by three sons and their wives, Justin & Vandorn Schlater of Jamestown, Travis & Vanessa Schlater of Coldwater, and Brent & Jessica Schlater of St. Henry. Also surviving Mary Jo are her eight precious grandchildren, Brayden, Madelyn, Archie, Isla, Vera, Arlo, Avery, and Ian, as well as siblings and in-laws: Phyllis & Dan Riesland of Spring Hill, FL, Ken & Linda Mescher, Ted & Kathy Mescher, Jack & Vicky Mescher, all of Coldwater, Angie & Rick Rutschilling of St. Henry, Tamera & Alan Kuether of Montezuma, Faye Mescher of Florida, and Alice Mescher of St. Henry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jo is preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Mescher and David Mescher.
Mary Jo grew up in Coldwater and was a graduate of Coldwater High School. She retired from Joseph Airport Toyota in Vandalia. Mary Jo was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Eaton, as well as the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Eaton. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends, especially the grandkids and her special friends in the Lakengren "Red Neck Yacht Club."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 pm Wednesday, July 19, at the St. Henry Church, in St. Henry, Ohio. Burial in St. Henry Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
Friends and family may call 9:30 am - noon on Wednesday, July 19, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
