Ricky Jay Holsinger, Sr., 68, of Celina, OH died 10:33 p.m. Friday July 14, 2023 at Kindred Hospital in Lima, OH.

He was born January 22, 1955 in St. Marys, OH to Edgar and Rosemary "Pudge" (Cotterman) Holsinger.

Survivors include: love of his life Christine Clark of Celina, OH; daughter Kim (Steve) Cotterman of DeGraff, OH; son Ricky Jay Holsinger of Thorton, CO; son Robert (Makayla Couch) Holsinger of Chattanooga, OH; son Cameron (Victoria Tonik) Holsinger of Marion, OH; daughter Kaitlyn (Josh Weller) Holsinger of Columbus, OH; son Nick Clark of Celina, OH; daughter Laura Clark of Englewood, OH; 10 grandchildren: Brandi (Jonathan) Miles, Devon McCollister, Seth Topp, Destiny Holsinger, James Holsinger, Brooklyn Holsinger, Braxton Holsinger, Brayden Holsinger, Bronson Holsinger, Makenna Clark; 4 great-grandchildren: John, Bailey, Payton and Emmy Miles; sister Ginger Figel of Hillsboro, OR; brother John (Theresa) Holsinger of St. Marys, OH; sister Brenda (Andy) Fishbach of Sidney, OH; sister Sarah (Doug) Eckstein of Fairborn, OH.

Preceded in death by: parents Edgar and Rosemary Holsinger; sister Roxy Wagner; sister Jodie Ball; sister Janice Blackledge; sister Candace Grilliot; sister Marsha Taylor; brother Edgar Holsinger; Shelly Slone; daughter-in-law Sabrina Holsinger.

A career military man, he proudly served his country as a drill instructor (SFC US Army, Retired) in the United States Army. He later retired as a production employee from Veyance Corp. in St. Marys, OH. He was a life member and past commander of VFW Post #9289 in St. Marys. His favorite pastimes included watching football (Bengals and OSU Buckeyes), REDS baseball, NASCAR (Kyle Busch), camping and tending his large vegetable garden. More than anything else, he enjoyed family get-togethers. He was known for Rick and John's annual fish fry.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon Thursday July 20, 2023 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Burial, with full military funeral honors, will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.

Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
