Frieda Hay
Frieda R. Hay, 94, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Otterbein St. Marys Senior Life Community. She was born March 31, 1929 in Sturgis, Michigan to the late Vernon and Emma (Rohrback) Miars. On July 3, 1948 she married Daniel Hay and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2012.
She is also survived by two daughters; Jean A. Phillips, Schaumburg, IL and Dana H. (William) Graves, Centerville, OH; three grandchildren, Mark Phillips, Bartlett, Illinois, Brian (Hunter) Graves, Dayton, Ohio and Amy Graves, Los Angeles, California; three great grandchildren, Joey, Jeremey and Juniper; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death, by four brothers and three sisters.
Frieda was a 1947 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and also worked at various department stores in St. Marys. She was a member of Wayne Street Church and volunteered countless hours for the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary/Guild.
Most of all Frieda loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys with Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating; where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm before the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
