CELINA - A 24-year-old St. Marys man was fatally shot by Celina police in the early morning hours of Aug. 25 near the Eastview Park pond after he drove a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer directly at a police officer, missing him by only inches, according to Celina Police Chief Tom Wale. [More]
Parkway scores twice in fourth to rally past Redskins

ROCKFORD - Parkway scored two touchdowns in the final six minutes, capping an improbable second-half comeback to post a 35-23 victory over visiting St. Henry Friday night.
The Redskins appeared to take control of the game in the third quarter, running 22 plays while possessing the ball for nearly 10 minutes. The Panthers (2-2, 1-1 MAC) ran five plays from scrimmage in the third quarter and netted minus-17 yards. [More]

Braylon Gabes ran for two touchdowns and caught two passes that went for scores as Celina retained its share of the Western Buckeye League football lead with a 31-8 victory over Shawnee on Friday night at Shawnee Field in Allen County.
FORT RECOVERY - The offenses of the Minster Wildcats and of the Fort Recovery Indians were both unstoppable in the first half.
The difference in the game was Minster forcing a fumble on a kickoff return and stepping up on defense in the second half of a 41-20 victory.
VERSAILLES - New Bremen's defense kept Versailles to seven points in the first half, but in the second, the Tigers pulled away.
