Reception to be held at gallery

NEW BREMEN - A new exhibit at Art Source Ohio will invite viewers to self-reflect with a collection of abstract multimedia paintings and conceptual glass sculptures.
"Beneath the Surface" will feature the work of Gregory Price and Jimi Gleason and will kick off with a reception party from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the gallery, 647 West Monroe Street, where the artists will be available to meet with guests. [More]
Parkway had historic season in winning first MAC football title

None of the 43 players on Parkway's football roster this season were born in 1973 when their program raised the Midwest Athletic Conference's inaugural conference football title.
For many, their parents weren't even born yet, and of the present coaching staff, only defensive line coach Jeff Farmer was alive when the Black and Gold from Parkway pounded through the schedule en route to a perfect 10-0 campaign. [More]

Council hears more about drag shows
CELINA - Any attempts to regulate activities such as a drag show in city parks will be deemed unconstitutional, said city law director George Moore at Monday night's regular city council meeting.
ST. MARYS - City council members heard first reading of an ordinance to enter into a contract with Pohlkat Inc. for lime sludge removal without taking officials bids.
NEW BREMEN - Village council members on Monday heard first reading of an ordinance awarding a three-year lease of the Komminsk Farmland.
Mann Farms LLC submitted the highest bid of $142,506 to lease the 139.45 acres from 2024 to 2026.
COLDWATER - Village council members on Monday learned work continues on street projects in the village.

ST. HENRY - Village councilors on Monday accepted local government funds from the state.
Councilors approved a resolution to accept and transfer $48,246.95 in local government funds into the village general fund.
MARIA STEIN - Marion Local school board members learned Monday night that the steady rise in student enrollment has continued this year.
Board members also were advised that the latest phase of weight room upgrades has been completed.
