5-year levy on ballot this election

Jefferson Township fire levy

By William Kincaid
Voters in Jefferson Township will decide on a five-year, 1.8-mill renewal property tax levy for fire protection and ambulance services in the Nov. 7 general election.
The levy would continue to generate $146,000 per year and the owner of a $100,000 home would continue to pay $49 annually.
Voters in 2018 renewed what was then a 1.5-mill levy with a 0.3-mill increase. Jefferson Township contracts fire services from Celina Fire Department and ambulatory services from Mercer County EMS.
