At 954 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Newport, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Montra, Newbern, New Jerusalem, Lockington, Ridgeway, Woodstock, Botkins, Mount Victory, Millerstown, Kiser Lake State Park, Hardin, Pemberton, Piqua, West Mansfield, East Liberty, St. Paris, Logansville, Belle Center, North Lewisburg, and Lakeview.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 77 and 106.

Carolynn Sidey
Carolynn G. Sidey, 84, of Wapakoneta, died 10:00 P.M. Sunday, December 24, 2023, at her residence.
She was born February 19, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Geraldine (Bonifield) Ramga. She married Ray Sidey on August 27, 1960, at the Bethlehem Union Church, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her son-in-law, Michael Loyer of Cincinnati; by her two grandchildren: Benjamin (Lauren) Loyer of Batavia; Jeannette (Eric) Manger of Centerville; by her two great-grandchildren: Glenn and Arthur Manger. She is survived by her brother, Glenn (Kay) Ramga of Wapakoneta; her sister, Pauletta (Jim) Welshimer of Findlay.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her two children, Paul Sidey and Janine Sidey Loyer.
She was a 1957 graduate of Buckland High School, and a 1960 graduate of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, where she was a Registered Nurse and was the Manager of the Pediatric ward and the Obstetric Ward for many years. She assisted in the birth of more than 15,000 babies in her long career at the hospital. A true "caregiver", she displayed a quiet confidence and ability to make her patients feel comfortable. She also appreciated the relationships she had with her many co-workers at the local hospital. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys. She served many years with the JTDMH Auxiliary, and had served as president.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Wayne Street United Methodist Church, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to Wayne Street United Methodist Church.
Friends may also call from noon until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
