Charles Post
Charles "Chuck" G. Post, 59, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born on November 20, 1964, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Alvin and Alice (Homan) Post.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy (Langenkamp) Post, whom he married on April 5, 1986; his sons, Jim Post of Fort Recovery, Jared (Michelle) Post of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jon (Gina) Post of Fort Recovery; his granddaughters, Claire, Amelia, and Nora Post and Adriana and Sophia Post; his siblings, Bernice (John) Reichert of Maria Stein, Ivo (Linda) Post of Maria Stein, Patty Uhlenhake of Coldwater, Jerry (Joretta) Post of St. Henry, Sally Post of St. Henry, Angie (Paul) Mangen of Versailles, and Mary Jo (Brett) Beatty of Jamestown, Ohio; his in-laws, Teri (Dale) Minnich of Portland, Lynn (Luke) Kahlig of Fort Recovery, Diane (Carl) Homan of St. Henry, Steve Langenkamp of Jacksonville, Florida, Jenny (Paul) Everman of Neptune, Ohio, Brad (Janis) Langenkamp of Coldwater, Dan Langenkamp of St. Marys, Julie (Bill) Timmerman of Troy, and Mary Langenkamp of Coldwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Marvin Uhlenhake; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Janet Langenkamp.
Chuck was a 1983 graduate of St. Henry High School. He was a lifelong farmer and former construction worker. He spent his youth up until fairly recently dairy farming. He loved working on the farm with whatever needed to be done. All equipment was repaired and ready when the time came to plant and harvest. He loved being a Grandpa. Chuck was a proud grandpa to 5 wonderful granddaughters. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and classic TV shows. He also enjoyed history and recently was able to mark Washington D.C. off his bucket list. Chuck was a social person, and loved helping others, especially his sons and neighbors. His caring heart and legacy will live on for years to come due to his selfless donation of tissue and organs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
Guests may visit with Chuck's family on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 2 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
