Andrew Taylor
Andrew "AJ" Taylor, age 17, of Celina, passed away on January 20, 2024 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
He was born August 22, 2006 in Coldwater to Brian and Leigh Ann (Post) Taylor, both survive at their residence in Celina.
Other survivors include his sister, Alexandra Harner, Coldwater; maternal great grandmother, Margaret Ann Post, Celina; paternal grandmother Pamela (Greg) Kabanuk, Evansville, Wisconsin; paternal grandfather, Joseph Taylor Safety Harbor, Florida; paternal great grandmother, Evelyn Joan Stetler, Celina; three aunts, Stacie (Aaron) Wold, Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Jennifer (Kevin) Rentz, Celina and Amanda Post, Celina; and four cousins, Logan and Bodhi Wold, both of Claredon Hills, Illinois and Kyra and Kali Rentz, both of Celina.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sharon Post and maternal great grandfather, Tom Post.
AJ was a Junior at Parkway High School in Rockford. He was very active in the school and was proud to be on the school's honor roll, where he also participated in the school choir and student government. AJ worked at Dairy Queen in Celina; he loved his job and enjoyed the people he worked with. He was a typical teenager who enjoyed playing video games, riding his four-wheeler and dirt-bike and he embraced life with a playful outlook and presence. AJ was a true "old soul" at heart, he was young in years, but AJ's wisdom and gentle spirit seemed to belong to an era long past, leaving an imprint on all who know him. He adored the time he spent with his faithful pet dogs, Wesson and Cassi, and all of his family and friends. AJ had great ambitions for his future as he was saving his money for his dream car which was a Camaro Z28, and after high school he was looking forward to becoming a train engineer or following in his father's footsteps as a law enforcement officer. AJ's last act of kindness on earth was giving the gift of life to others through organ donation, offering the gift of life and hope to others in need.
