Joseph M. "Wheeler" Houser, age 66, of rural Mendon, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
He was born June 9, 1957, in St. Marys, to James D. and Thelma A. (Sampson) Houser.
"Wheeler", as he was known by many, was a father, friend, brother, and grandpa.
He leaves behind his son, Joey Houser of Mendon, and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving is his life partner, Tammy Houser, and six brothers and sisters: Rick (Debbie) Sampson of Forest, Ohio, Patrick Houser and Daniel (Shyla) Houser of Mendon, Deb (Jim) Dotson of Pensacola, Fla., Lynn (Roger) Sell of Rockford, and Shirley Dicke of Mendon.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dennis Houser and Terry Houser.

A big man with a big heart, Wheeler loved the outdoors. He was known for his love of hunting mushrooms in the springtime, crappie fishing, and for making the best flavored moonshine around.
Wheeler was a beloved member and current president of the St. Marys Chapter of the Barbarians Motorcycle Club. He dearly loved his biker family.
Joe will be in our hearts forever, and missed by all who knew him.
