Carol Doenges
Carol A. Doenges, 78, of St. Marys, died 6:15 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born December 1, 1945, in Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Alfedor and Helen (Claus) Doenges.
She is survived by her sisters: Diana (Roman) Steinbrunner of Minster; Patricia Jean Cook of Taylor, Ala.; by her nephews: Ryan and Deanna (Wetzel) Steinbrunner of Osgood; Dana and Belinda (Barhorst) Steinbrunner of Minster; Tom (Michelle) Cook of Birmingham, Ala.; Richard Cook of Panama City, Fla., and by her nieces, Mari Cook (Bobby) Belk of Taylor, Ala.; and Janet Steinbrunner of Versailles.
She was preceded in death by her parents by a nephew, Doug Steinbrunner; and a niece, Angela Steinbrunner.
Carol was a 1963 graduate of Celina High School and had worked for many years as a bank teller at the Citizens Commercial Bank. She later worked at AAA Travel Agency in Celina. She loved traveling, researching her genealogy; knitting, reading and playing cards. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. Rhonda Hainer, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to St. Rita's Hospice.
