Frederick Dobmeyer
Frederick "Paul" Dobmeyer, age 80, of Coldwater, passed peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Celina Manor.
He was born January 19, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Raymond & Esther (Sunderhaus) Dobmeyer. On March 17, 1978, he married his wife Virginia 'Jinny' (Braun) Dobmeyer and she survives in Coldwater.
Paul is survived by three children and their spouses: Andy & Cindy Dobmeyer of Coldwater, and children, Ava, Rileigh, Bennett and Amelia; Gabe & Cricket Dobmeyer of Coldwater, and children, Zac and Knox; and Jessica & Brad Brooks of Richmond, Ind., and children, Jacob and Sam. Also surviving are siblings and in-laws, Ann & John Woodruff of Longmeadow, Mass., Kris Dobmeyer of Columbus, Frank & Marilyn Dobmeyer of Cincinnati, David "Butch" & Jeanne Braun of Celina, Diana & Jerry Quirie of Cape Coral, Fla., Larry & Michelle Braun of Celina, and Brenda & Tom Powell of Celina, 13 nephews and 12 nieces.
Paul is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Mike Dobmeyer, Kathy & Mike Barlow, Barbara & Carl Buschur, and Lois & Gary Baker.
Paul was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the Coldwater Knights of Columbus, the Coldwater American Legion. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader and a former coach of Coldwater little league; Pony league and Jr. Acme baseball and he organized the Coldwater youth soccer K-6 program.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Following the funeral Mass, burial will take place in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 6 p.m. or on Monday, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Celina Manor.
