Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey was awarded a plaque to commemorate his 43 years of law enforcement service within the county. He will retire at the end of the year. County commissioner Jerry Laffin, who will also retire at the end of the year, was also awarded a plaque during Lake Festival parade Saturday.
