The St. Marys boys golf team improved to 7-1 in Western Buckeye League dual matches with a 164-166 win over Defiance on Wednesday afternoon at Eagle Rock in Defiance.
  The first trimming of the shared Midwest Athletic Conference football lead begins Friday as the first of likely several unbeaten vs. unbeaten matchups this season takes place at Cardinal Stadium in New Bremen.
  Week Three demonstrated what has become a recurring lesson for myself. While the Midwest Athletic Conference tends to be quite predictable, the Western Buckeye League insists on throwing the proverbial monkey wrenches into the machinery.
