Kathryn Lechleiter
Kathryn (Mescher) Lechleiter, 92, of Coldwater, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater with family by her side.
She was born October 26, 1931, in Coldwater to the late Henry & Florentina (Jacobs) Mescher. On September 5, 1955, in Coldwater, she married Leon Lechleiter and he preceded her in 2006.
She is survived by children and their spouses: Debra & Ken Stienecker of Coldwater, Terri & Gary Knapke of Maria Stein, Shelli & Jay Kremer, Julie & Roger Rose of Cassella; grandchildren, Kendra & Greg Dilworth, Scott & Jessica Stienecker, Cody Stienecker, Wes Stienecker, Kylie & Travis Klosterman, Brady & Courtney Kremer, Reggie & Amanda Rose, and Leah Rose; great-grandchildren, Riley & Amber Dilworth, Ashlyn Dilworth, Whitney and Beau Stienecker, Ethan, Owen, Jacob, and Briella Stienecker, Brooklyn, Madison, and Carson Klosterman, Krew and Rya Kremer, Jace, Mack, Blakely, and Blane Rose;
She is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Norbert & Ginny Mescher, Urban & Luetta Mescher, Art & Rena Mescher, Paul & Alfrieda Mescher, Cyril Mescher, Mary & Paul Maroon, Roman & Mary Lechleiter, Linus Lechleiter, Mary Ann Lechleiter, and Leroy Lechleiter and granddaughter-in-law, Jessica Stienecker.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the St. Cecelia's Ladies Auxiliary, Coldwater Kiwanis, and the VFW auxiliary. She was employed at Boeke Insurance Agency and Home Building & Loan Bank in Coldwater. She was the Assistant Secretary Treasurer before they merged with Mercer Savings Bank in Celina. After the merger, she was named the branch manager of the newly opened branch in Coldwater before retiring in 1995. In retirement, she offered federal income tax preparation services from her home office.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on September 28, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. Burial in St. Elizabeth Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater on Saturday, September 28 from 9:00-10:30 AM.
