Alberta Braun
Alberta T. Braun, age 89, of Coldwater, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at The Gardens of Celina.
She was born December 9, 1934, in Coldwater, to the late Albert & Bernadine (Janning) Ebbing. On August 28, 1954, she married Paul Braun, and he died in 2015.
She is also survived by two children, Linda Shoup of Cridersville and Alan C. Braun and Elaine Depweg of Coldwater, two grandchildren, Nichole Henry, two great-grandchildren, Jonathon Bachar and Ian Bachar, sister, Norma Krueger of Granville.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Shoup, grandson, Thomas Bachar, siblings and in-laws, Jeanette & Orville Siefring, Baird Krueger, Marvin & Helen Braun, Donald & Virginia Braun, Rita & Carlo Tosti, Stanley & Eileen Braun, Robert & Linda Braun, Fred & Romilda Braun, Louis & Rosella Braun, and Adrian Braun.
Alberta was a graduate of Coldwater High School and Wright State University. She retired from AGCO New Idea after 25 years working in Human Resources, and Schwieterman Pharmacy in Coldwater. Alberta was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the St. Anne's Altar Sodality, a eucharistic minister and member of the choir for 40 years. Alberta was also a volunteer at Mercer County Community Hospital, Briarwood Village, and Mercer County Council on Aging.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 23 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4PM until 7 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to EverHeart Hospice or the Maria Stein Relic Chapel.
