Ronald Suchland
Ronald L. Suchland, 74, of Saint Marys, died 7:45 A.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his residence.
He was born October 24, 1949, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Robert and Mary (Gasson) Suchland. He married Sandra Frank on July 3, 1976, in Decatur, Indiana, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his three children: Nathan (Amanda) Suchland of Celina; Jeff (Taira) Suchland of Englewood, Ohio; Chris (Chad) Fortkamp of Celina. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, and by his brother, Robert (Linda) Suchland of New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Suchland.
Ron was a 1967 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Saint Marys. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of Pheasants Forever. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed attending their events.
Funeral rites will be held 6:00 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Glory Geib, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-6 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be given to Interim Hospice of Lima.
