Junior Boroff
Junior Boroff, 91, of Saint Marys, died 6:05 A.M. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Grande Lake Healthcare Center.
He was born August 17, 1933, in Lenawee County, Michigan, the son of Charles and Tena (Becker) Boroff. He married Mary Lou Whetstone on May 11, 1956; she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his children: Penny Jo Shoup of Columbia, Tennessee; Nile (Tammy) Boroff of Willshire; Coy (Chris) Boroff of Greenville. He is survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents his son-in-law, Bruce Shoup; by a great-grandchild, Ollie Gates; by his siblings Carl Boroff, Mary Boroff, Kenneth Boroff, Pauline Stultz, Marcele Boroff, Fern Rockhold, Betty Ketteman and Annabell Baer.
Junior was a 1951 graduate of Spencerville High School, and a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima and was a lifelong farmer. He collected Ford memorabilia and was a member of the Buckeye Antique Club. He was a member of the Monticello Church of the Brethren and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mendon.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Andrew Atkins, officiant. Burial will follow ast New Salem Cemetery, Monticello.
