Eddie Fishbaugh
Eddie W. Fishbaugh, 79, of Celina, OH died 3:26 p.m. Monday November 4, 2024 in the emergency department of the Mercer Co. Community Hospital in Coldwater, OH.
He was born August 29, 1945 in Celina, OH to Ethan "Pearl" and Betty Jane (Sweigart) Fishbaugh. On March 25, 2006 in St. Marys, OH he married Doris Yaney, who survives.
Also survived by: Son Travis (Jen) Fishbaugh of St. Marys, OH; Son Channon (Tiff) Fishbaugh of Celina, OH; Daughter Cherie Fishbaugh of West Chester, PA; Step-daughter Tami (Joe) Willeke of Belle Center, OH; Step-son Tim (Theresa) Thien of Minster, OH; 5 grandchildren: Kasyn, Kaleb, Keaton, Alaina and Emmerson Fishbaugh; 6 step-grandchildren: Rachael (Alex) Young, Casey Willeke, Kayla (Fred) Purdy, Courtney (Jake) Winner, Kendra (Will) Homan, Chloe Thien; 4 step-great-grandchildren: Grayson, Jensen and Watsin Young; James Homan; Sister-in-law Brenda Fishbaugh of Celina, OH; Sister-in-law Linda Farrow of Charleston, NC; Sister-in-law Diane (John) Manz of Paulding, OH; Sister-in-law Janice (Dale) Wenning of Coldwater, OH; Brother-in-law Dick (Tina) Yaney of St. Marys, OH; Brother-in-law Mike Mohler of Wapakoneta, OH; Sister-in-law Jolene (Alan) Will of Sunbury, OH; Brother-in-law Jon (Julie) Yaney of Celina, OH; Brother-in-law Jack Yaney of St. Marys, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Preceded in death by: parents Ethan "Pearl" and Betty Jane Fishbaugh; grandson Maverick Fishbaugh; brother Mike Fishbaugh; brother Jimmy (Deb) Fishbaugh; step-grandson Tommy Thien; and sister-in-law Brenda Mohler.
He was a graduate of Celina Senior High School (Class of 1963).
Mr. Fishbaugh proudly served his country as a member of the 779th Tactical Airlift Squadron in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Throughout his life, he devoted countless hours to organizations that honored American veterans.
A licensed electrician, he was the proprietor of Fishbaugh Electric in Celina for many years.
He was a member of VFW Post #9289 (Honor Guard), American Legion Post #323, Celina Lyons Club, and Mercer Co. DAV Chapter #76 (Past Commander).
Eddie's favorite pastimes included hunting, drag racing, working on vehicles, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be remembered for his ornery nature and warm smile.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday November 8, 2024 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Randy Christian will officiate the services. Military funeral honors will be conducted immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
